Elaine and I just finished watching a movie and were lying on the couch in our Edwardian island, listening to the hockey yahoos bleating their horns and earning the epithet "yahoo" when we heard another, unusual noise. A noise more in keeping with the 19th century rather than the 21st... the sound of horses plodding by. A glance out the window revealed a pair of mounted police officers riding by.
A pair of Royal Canadian Mounted Police, actually mounted, out to keep the hockey yahoos in line because the Canucks won a game. How Canadian is that?
