A part of my process that I usually don't share. I use mechanical means at the pencilling stage. Part of me always feels like I'm "cheating." I can freehand draw. I could go as far as working from a live model like I did in art school. But what for? I have modern tools. The little LED projector is new. Previously I used a now 15+ year old digital projector. Before that I developed analogue slides and used a slide projector I bought used in the late 80s when I was still in college that must be about 50 years old now. I use and have used many other mechanical methods, too. None of it matters. via Instagram
