*The* Ferry Shot

This is probably the best one of the bunch. This is how I remember the ferries, this is an indelible childhood memory - leaning into the wind at the bow of the ferry. Just sea and sky and a wind that feels like it is going to pick you up and carry you away. I took it from the height of a child and the kid leaning into the wind is about 10 or so. The ferry is one of the old ones, originally built in 1964. They have cut these ships twice amidships to make them longer and have also cut them horizontally and added another car deck over the last 38 years, but this part of the ship is as it has always been my entire life. There is nothing about this that isn't exactly like when I was five.
