Woo! New York in June!

The money is together for going to New York in June, but I didn't buy the tickets yet because the flight we were looking at connected in Toronto. Personally I think the while SARS thing has been blown absurdly out of proportion, but because it has been blown out of proportion there is the very real chance of being stuck in a quarantine should somebody with a cough get on the plane in Toronto. It's a shame because the Flight via Toronto was by far the most convenient, getting us to Laguardia at 4:30 in the afternoon - perfect timing to get into the city, meet up with Elaine's uncle and Elisabeth for dinner and then go clubbing. The only other flights I could find not connecting in Toronto didn't arrive until late in the evening, which would have screwed us for an evening out. But today I found a flight that goes via Montréal and arrives early enough (6:47 p.m.) for a late dinner and clubbing. Woo-hoo! And it is cheaper, too! I just told Elaine about it and as soon as she gets home and we can dig up our frequent-flyer plan numbers I'll be buying the tickets.

It's done! The tickets to New York are confirmed. Two weeks and three weekends in the city that never sleeps. We'll be living extra-frugally for the next while to save up spending money - but who cares? I could spend the whole two weeks just walking around taking pictures!
