Elaine unpacking in her Uncle Herb's apartment in Manhattan.

Our first evening in Manhattan )

And, in case you are wondering why I "wasting time" making posts - it's hot and muggy here. We've been walking around downtown all day (including getting a bit lost on the lower east side, which was "interesting") and our general modus operandi is to retreat to the apartment in the mid-afternoon, siesta through the heat and venture out again in the evening. Last night we went up the Empire State Buidling (I'll be posting those pictures later). Tonight we're planning to go shopping on St. Mark's Place again.

New York in June

Gotham City.

The decline of Western Civilization - No one builds classical edifices to art and science any more.

Coming soon... pictures from the top of the Empire State Building, pictures from downtown including one of which got me in trouble with a secuity guard, Ground Zero, the Woolworth's Building, and Trinity Church.
