I Would Have Been Better off Staying Up

In hindsight I should have gone out to Shift and taken some pictures or something other than the pathetic attempt at sleep last night amounted to. At least then I would have something to show for this exhaustion and probably wouldn't have the sore back I am contending with today.

I did manage to get some sleep because I kept dropping in and out of the same dream. I was living in a shed and had gone more than a little insane. tharsis was still around - I was a crazy man with a cat. No doubt this is anxiety about what happens next in my life when this job ends. When I was awake I was busy worrying about work.

Red Chair Project

The chair is ready. The project launch and first sittings start 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31st. To reiterate from my previous post, the idea here is to make a series of photos of individuals done up in their best outfits (club clothes, work clothes, "Sunday best", etc. - however they feel "best dressed") sitting in this chair against this backdrop, starting with my friends. The photographs are intended to both stand on their own as visual art and I also plan to do a series of matching paintings. Participants will get a CD of all their photos, a 13" x 19" print of the photo of their choice from their set, and if I make a painting from one of the photos, the participant will also get a similarly scaled (dimensions may vary) print of the painting. Participants will be asked to sign a model-release.
