"New" phone

My phone-phreak friends will appreciate this. Behold my "new" phone. It's a General Electric Company model 150. Best I can ascertain it was made in Coventry in the latter half of the 1920's. It's not wholly authentic, at some point it was converted to work without a ringer box, but the dial, receiver and mouthpiece all seem to be authentic. This is an utter monster, the base is made of cast iron while the body and column are steel. Pristine specimens of this particular phone (with the original ringer box) sell for around £350 - £400 in England. Not being a purist I was very happy to get this for $65, shipping included, from an antique shop in Kentucky (via eBay, of course). The lack of a ringer is no big deal, the bell on my circa 1960 BC Tel rotary phone is plenty loud enough ;-)
