May 1990, #TBT — Sliding down the outdoor escalator bannister under the cupola (long gone) of the Price Waterhouse building at Hastings and Seymour during an evening that, if I remember right, which is highly suspect, started with an investment in Pounds, Shillings and Pence at a staff party at the Suki's hair salon at Granville and 16th. This Google StreetView link, which you'll have to copy and paste on IG, but should work when this feeds elsewhere shows the cupola and escalator before it was torn down: https://www.google.com/maps/@49.2847725,-123.1127199,3a,75y,341.07h,88.46t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sjYEC2vA14y53t-RSBKx8iw!2e0!5s20090401T000000!7i13312!8i6656?entry=ttu via Instagram

Working from home today to keep an eye on Malenky's post-op recovery and scanning some slides for a publication about [profile] laiwanette_ on my venerable Nikon CoolScan V. These things are the best consumer slide scanners ever made. I've had it forever, but because there is nothing like them anymore and nothing short of a professional drum scanner does a better job, they are surprisingly expensive used. via Instagram
