I beat the crows to another handful of cherries from my lunatic potted cherry tree. That's the last of them. I got about 25 cherries this year. My best year was 64, back at my old place downtown that got better light. The tree was cut back horribly to fit through the door to move it ten years ago and is only just now getting back to where it was.

I went to the community food forest today. Nanking cherries were ripe but heavily picked over, so I skipped them. I wasn't impressed by the scarlet goumi berries: tart and astringent. However, I got a handful of red raspberries and about half a bag of yellow. :D
