Two teaspoons of colour with my coffee this morning. Just another day in "you can't do that with acrylics" land. #process #painting #acrylic #acrylicpainting I've mentioned before that the choice of acrylics is conscious. One of the pigments your seeing in this was only created around about the time the reference photo was taken. Acrylics are the product of modern industrial processes. To me they are part of and packaged with the optimism and successes of the last century that are so taken for granted that it's fashionable to shіt on them. They come from the same chemistry, biochemistry and engineering that allow eight billion people to live at the same time, and the food safety and medicine that allows me to reasonably believe that I've got a few decades left. The world is full of marvels.
