One More Day?

I just returned from my daily trek to the building for an update. Central power had been restored, which was one of the remaining hold-ups. The suites have had power for a while, but the common areas of the building were unpowered, meaning the fire alarm, hall lights, exit lights and such were non-functional. Without those the city wouldn't allow occupancy. It was nice to see the lights on in the lobby finally. They tried turning the heat on today (the last remaining hurdle) but unfortunately a pipe cracked in the apartment that had burned and a plumber has to come in to fix that tomorrow. Once that is fixed the ordeal should be over.
