Note the rather lackadaisical toe hooked on the frayed remains of what was once a padded top. This, my friends, is living installation art at its finest (I always said Jazz was "a piece of work").
jazz and lucas are the only two cats i know of who sleep draped like this- lucas manages to drape himself over the top of my headboard with a front and back leg hanging down on either side- hysterical! i recently retired the old cat tree (which was shedding more than the felines, and that's saying something!) and picked up one of those hanging scratching-baords... my summer project will be to build a new cat tree- they're just stupidly expensive for some wood and carpeting, and then i can play with my power tools and staple-gun... muahahaha! (plus there are easy isntructions online- heh)
Yeah, I should do something about this one. It is home-made. The orange fabric is was used to be on my couch, which used to be their "scatching post". When I recovered it making a scratching post out of the old fabric that had their scent on it seemed like a good way to keep them from scratching the new couch. It worked.
