I got stuck at work for an extra hour and a half today. An hour and a half on the phone helping a telecommuting end-(l)user download and install Acrobat reader click-by-click.
An hour and a half to install Adobe Acrobat reader. I should mention that this is not my job. At one point I got the "my kids wouldn't have a problem with this, but I'm too old for all this computer stuff." Whenever I hear that I want to retort that my septegenarian mother installs her own software. "I'm to old for this" from some in his fifties just doesn't wash with me. If I had only left work when I meant to I would have missed the call *sigh*

Next time they tell you that - tell them
"Well .. you see .. if it was my grandmother She could help you
but me... well ... I'm just waaay to young to have the patience to tolerate your inneficiency and wanton (sp?) ignorance"
