This applies to credit unions as well. The credit union across the street (in the "waffle building") is having some kind of lame promotion and for the past hour I have been subjected to "classic rock" from 1960's playing at a volume louder than I usually play my own music in my office. This wouldn't be
quite so henious
if this music was canned, but it's live and really
bad. Looking down all I can see of the guitarist/vocalist is his glaring bald spot. Right now there are two 40-something ageing rock-star wannabes playing, I kid you not, "Play that Funky Music White Boy".
Please.
make
it
stop!!!

Date: 2004-08-05 06:52 pm (UTC)The only really memorable aspect of it for me is the lame band that plays every year on the corner of 11th and Granville. While on our way to Starbucks for our morning coffee we are subjected to *heavy metal* being played by two guys: one with a keyboard, and one with a guitar. It's incredibly funny, as the guitar player has all the coliseum rock moves down...
The only thing that would improve it is if they brought a smoke machine ;-)
