E-mail test

This should be a friends-only post. I'm testing out the e-mail gateway
again after having gone to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console and
typing in

set newpost_minsecurity friends

to make all posts friends-only by default.

There is a new feature for paid account where you can send a post in by e-mail (makes posting from my Blackberry really easy!) except there is no way to set whether the post should be public, friends-only, or private. So, using the console page I entered the command shown to make all new posts at least friends-only by default and e-mailed in that post from my Blackberry. I came though friend-only just like it should have :-)

Problem with this is that with the minimum new post security set to friends-only the only way to make a *public* post is the post it, then edit it to change the security - even if you *say* you want to post public - because the minimum level overrides the feild-value from the form.
