3 Snowprematist Photographs
(walking in the snow put me in a Soviet frame of mind...)

They closed the office at 1:00 p.m. today — a snow day. I went for a walk around Coal Harbour looking for images and found plenty. The only thing that made me stop is it turns out my batteries don't last very long when it is -15°C and I used up both sets pretty quickly. Oh, well. Not all the ones I took are "snowprematist". They rage from these totally abstracted ones, to semi-abstract, to postcard-type landscapes, to photos of people doing fun things in the snow. I'm sure I've got enough to drive Ryan insane like I did with all the ferry photos I took a couple summers ago . Maybe I'll go out and take some more when it is dark.

Thanks. Maybe I'll have to take some more. I find them so absurdly easy to make that there is a part of me that just sees them as a joke. That probably isn't the best attitude. Maybe I'm just good at it and just because it's easy for me doesn't mean just anyone can do it well. Actually I feel the same way about my photography in general, not just the more abstracted stuff.

Just because anyone can pull a trigger doesn't mean everyone can hit the target. I must remind myself of that.
