Riverside Forest Products Limited to purchase Lignum Limited

Kelowna, B.C. - Riverside Forest Products Limited (RFP: TSX) announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire all of the shares of Lignum Limited, a privately owned lumber manufacturing, sales and distribution company based in Williams Lake and Vancouver, BC. The transaction, which is expected to close in February 2004, is subject to certain conditions including the completion of final documentation and regulatory approval.
