I have secured my right to complain about the government for at least the next 16 months. So, if you voted in my political perception poll, now you get to find out just how right or wrong you were:

For the first time in my life, I voted NDP.

Larry was closest to the mark with the reasons why.

*Post from Dream_King I have a worm on my home computer which I got from Dark Vancouver that I can seem to rid myself of so I am not logging into anything from Home*

While I don't agree with the party you chose. I can respect that vote. You voted for the platform and not like the scared lemming that votes Liberal as a protest against the Tories even when they are disgusted with the Liberals.

it wasn't all that far from my reasoning...i just voted for the best candidate and party i could...truthfully it just doesn't really feel like a choice this time...though i do like the ndp platform...i'm just disappointed no one else had anything to offer...

Then there is the one very local, entirely personal reason that you didn't mention: if Kennedy Stewart wins the riding, [livejournal.com profile] saturn13 has a job.

Thanks, Ziv. One thing I definitely am not, is a lemming.

Representational democracy has plenty of flaws, and in my opinion most of those are worsened by people not actually voting for the individual in their own riding that they actually think is the best choice on a strictly local level. It suberts what the system is intended to do.
