Elaine and I were out for a little while today and I did a little experimenting with the new toy. These were the best two images from the day:

Oooh I like these pics! It seems like it handles light a bit better than your other camera...though I really know nothing of photography...so I could be talking out of my ass. ;)

Ever since I found out what urns like that were really for (fire - the whole plant-in-an-urn thing comes from wild plants taking root in untended urns at ruins) I've always wanted to see the ones on the Hotel Georgia lit up. Of course they probably aren't real urns and are solid, nonetheless, I like to imagine the "lids" off and great orange flames coming out.

Actually you are totally right. Digital SLR's have much bigger CCD's so even at the same exposure, you are collecting light over a larger surface area than with a little camera.
