This person walked past us on the sidewalk just before the parade started and then returned in the parade. Welcome to Vancouver, where people just show up dressed as space-men and randomly join a Santa Claus Parade :-)

Heh. If you like this, wait until you see "Santarchy". An annual local tradition where several hundred people dress up in cheap Santa suits and wander around town in a pack. Last year there were about 1,000 of them.

I'm thinking maybe he was cheezed that the Parade of Lost Souls didn't happen this year and just decided to go in the next available parade.
