Wolverine

Back when I was living in Gastown I used to see all sorts of odd animals walking along the railroad tracks. I found out then that the Grandview cut provides a corridor for wildlife travelling between Burnaby Lake Park and Stanley Park. Late one night I saw an animal I didn't recognize. It had the general shape of a rodent but was much too big to be a rat or a muskrat, it was big enough to be a small bear, but not bear shaped. At the time I considered it might be a wolverine but dismissed it since I didn't think we had wolverines here. Today I found out otherwise. And because wolverines have large territories it is reasonably likely that the wolverine I saw was the same one as in this article.

i used to see porcupines in alberta all the time...they are freaky looking animals...

That's cool that you at least got to see it before it died in 2004.

The grandview cut DID provide for the animals.... more so before it was infiltrated by the skytrain

I found your link in the GothicBC community. I am in Vancouver for one night only, tomorrow Sun the 15th. I was looking for gothic/industrial clubs and all I have found so far is Sanctuary but I am not sure if this club is still open or not. Can you let me know if it is and if there may be other venues open tomorrow night? I would greatly appreciate your help.

Yes, Sanctuary is definitely open tonight, at Celebrities, 1022 Davie Street. If you are taking a cab, just tell the driver you want to go Celbrities and they'll know where it is.
