Actually, the one I have always liked is the splash screen for Windows 2000... I think it says "built on NT technology". That would be "built on New Technology technology", although that is more marketing drivel (http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/winserver2k3_gold1.asp) than anything else.
That's probably not a bad point... it is about branding, after all. It is pretty funny how marketing-speak, when given some thought, can sound rather absurd.
