I wanted to be photographing the FLA show tonight. My hope was to take tomorrow morning off work. As it turns out I need to be at the top of a ladder in a park installing a GPRS modem for a remote camera first thing in the morning. I'd be choked about that if it weren't for the fact I just lined up a regular, paying, photography gig. It's of limited artistic merit, but it will be a few hundred extra dollars a month and the unambiguous right to call myself a professional photographer. That's a step in the right direction.

Date: 2006-07-07 04:09 pm (UTC)I know the feeling - I get paid to videotape live music gigs and edit promo videos. I am not in the big legues (or maybe I am) and can't quite compete with Triton or Arcadia - but I am getting up there.
