This is a different process than most of my vintage stereoscopes. Instead of being created from discrete left and right images this is created from a red-blue view that was posted in [livejournal.com profile] vintagephoto. It's an easy matter to separate out the colour channels, but getting a decent animation from them requires a bit more finesse. For one, the plane of vision used in the red-blue image did not lend itself well to animation. Secondly, presenting red-blue stereoscopic images as JPEGs suffers from the fact the JPEG compression badly blurs reds, so that the separated red channel ends up being a much lower quality image than the image than can be pulled from the blue channel.
