I just purchased my ticket to NYC. It's official. I'm really going. My first North American trip east of Alberta.

I've never been inclined to traveling. There are a few places I want to see for historical/artistic curiosity. New York happens to fall into both categories. I'm also sussing it out as a possible future home. But really, deep down, I'm one of those people who would be happy to live his whole life in the village where I was born. I know someone who grew up in an ancient stone house that her family had lived in for the last 800 years. I envy that.
