  • In exotic Africa: Duala, capital of Kamarun, German Equatorial Africa [Cameroon] surrenders to Anglo-French forces; French forces occupy German Congo.
  • German Zeppelin reported to have bombed school in Russia, killing children
  • Japanese forces in German occupied China approaching fort and Tsing Tau.
  • Two separate reports of German friendly-fire incidents, one of which killed one of Kaiser Wilhelm's sons.
  • Reproduction of labels put on 1.2 million cans of salmon donated by British Columbia government.
  • Komagata Maru still in the news. Former Indian civil-servant now living in Duncan to lead investigatory\240commission that was a condition of the ship returning to Asia.
  • Mexican civil war peace negotiations dragging on.
