I'm Stoked!

OK, I'm back from my interview and I want this job. I can totally get behind what the company does not to mention they are local and privately owned so from an ethical standpoint I can go to work and not feel like an evil corporate bastard (like I did at the bank). My job description would absolutely rock - both technical and creative, all my skills would come into play. The office itself gets huge bonus points from me for a.) not being a cubicle farm, and b.) having lots of good art hanging all over. Not corporate schlock, but actually good stuff, some by people I know - and I don't mean people I know of but actual local artists that I have met and talked to. What's even more cool about that is the art is the CEO's personal collection... gave me a very good feeling about the company as a whole. This isn't some butthole in an ivory tower in London... the guy is from small-town BC just like me and supports the local economy and local artists (and has good taste to boot!).

I want this job!!

I might hear as early as tomorrow if I have it or not. At worst I may have to wait a week or two, but even that would be pretty quick, relatively speaking. I know the market here. There is no way they are going to find someone locally that has the same skillset I have.

I blame the whole "interview suit" concept on you. I think it helped. I felt very Corpgoth in my black suit. I even chose my shirt to match the detail on my 'Vogs! I felt very confident and comfortable, which translated into a good interview.
