First Day

In a few moments I head off for the first day of my new job. This will be an interesting day.

Not only that but it was a year ago today that I met Ivana at Sanctuary. Next Saturday will be the first anniversary of our first date. I'll be taking her out on Friday, but I can't decide whether I should take her to the same place we went on that first date or to somewhere else, like Gotham. I don't think I'll be able to get that item in my last friends-only LJ post in time for Friday so I'm leaning toward the former choice, keeping Gotham in reserve. Comments? Suggestions?

(and right now they are playing the Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt on the radio - a.k.a. the tune used in those "Breakfast. MacDonald's Breakfast. The very best ingredients, we do it all for you..." commercials, which is going to be stuck in my head all day now )

call me old fashioned... but i would take her to the same place and see if she remembers what happened a year ago next weekend... and i would save the ring for xmas, it will be so much more special then.

That's pretty much what I had in mind, although I was thinking New Year's for the ring.
