Yesterday I stopped by Birk's and bought the ring. I had to guess the size from just eyeballing her finger, so I hope to hell I guessed right. I have no idea how this is going to go. She has been pretty seriously depressed the last week of so... she has a buch of cruddy stuff going on right now, which was bad enough, and then her car died this week on top of it. I'm hoping a nice dinner and some sangria will get her cheered up a bit. I have no idea how she is going to react. I'm trying not to think about it too much so I'm not exceedingly nervous or get myself all freaked out. "Just take a deep breath and jump..."
