Holy Smoke!

There was a five-alarm fire at St. John the Divine's cathedral in New York this morning. My pictures of the cathedral are here and here. Apparently it started in the gift shop, has caused some damage, but nothing serious to the structure of the cathedral, and is under control. No one was hurt in the fire. There is concern, however, that the smoke has damaged some of the artifacts in the cathedral. See the New York Times article here.

Is my long-standing obsession with New York showing again? Methinks the elf and elflings are going to have to get used to taking vacations there...

it looks as if i may be staying at my apartment after august- so when you come to visit i can put all four of you in the front room if you like! :}

that's okay- my canadian fixation is still going stonr- i was looking over montreal street maps the other day and whining because C8 is so far away...
