OK. So I bought "Lost Souls" the other day. I haven't seen it before, but it was a used DVD (i.e. cheap) and I am a Winona Ryder fan. I've been in a crappy mood so I thought I'd sit and watch it. So as I'm sitting there watching I suddenly see this extremely familiar shot of New York. It's this exact building from this exact point of view. The scene progresses and I recognise the building the scene is being shot in from the inside. It's Michele's building, the building I stayed in. I was not expecting that at all. "Peter Kelson"'s office in the movie is in Michele's building. From the look of it either right beside or diagonally above Michele's apartment. Now, whether the movie turns out to suck or not I am *totally* glad I bought the movie because now I can say, "That's where I crashed my first night of my first trip to New York!"

Yeah. It was a total surprise. The interior scenes were shot in one of the corner rooms, probably in the "tower" part that sticks up from the rest of the building. It was so strange to see. You know how much I liked the view from her place, what with all the sitting in the window I did so when I saw the shot I had this huge rush of recognition. There were other places I recognised in the movie just because they were landmark type places, like the entrance to the Lincoln tunnel, the Washington Bridge and stuff like that, but this was different, more personally familiar.
