Most mornings it just feels cold and slippery. I with this snow on the ground I tempt fate by lining myself up with the bridge and taking a less than completely controlled run/stagger down the icy, snowy hill because, being on my way to work, I typically have dress shoes on. Inevitably I am going to end up *in* the creek one frozen morning.
And on the flip side, I have some older pictures taken when I lived down at Railway and Gore, just a block from Rice World, that make *that* neighbourhood look beautiful. It's not so much what you see, but how you see it.
another lovely pic to add to my "barrick files"... i now have more desktop pictures than desktops!
the temperature has dropped here again (after nearly a week of early summer weather) but no snow in the forecast... *sigh* this is new jersey's fifth unseasonably warm winter in a row and we're in drought conditions... i miss the snow.
It rained buckets all day today so now all the snow is gone. I sorta missed out photographically. This picture was taken before the really big dump that Ivana moved in, it would have been much prettier if I had had a chance to get a shot of that. I've done so much this week, and this weekend in particular, it doesn't feel like only a week has gone by.
and btw- my cousin and i are tentatively planning for me to come out west and visit sometime in september or october... i'll keep you posted when i'll be in the region.
