Yes, that'd be an average of just over nine thousand of hits every single day for my pet projects. And here are the top twenty countries hitting my sites for February, in decending order: United States, Canada, Germany, UK, Australia, Netherlands, Switzerland, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Italy, Spain, France, Mexico, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Qatar, Greece, and Finland. For the life of me I can't figure out why Qatar is always on the list. It has been for years now. The entire country only has a population of 770,000 and according to the CIA Factbook there is all of one ISP with about 45,000 users. Hey, if you happen to be the guy in Qatar who has been following my web site now for over seven years... who the hell are you?

I put a little, invisible 1x1 transparent graphic on all my posts that resides on my server. The the hits against my journal entries get logged on my server. I don't know how you would do it without your own server to count the hits.
