OK, my mother e-mailed this scan to me this morning for a laugh. This is from my hometown paper. This would have been New Year's Day 1986. I'm about to dive into ocean with a bunch of other idiots. That haircut looked a hell of a lot better "big". The shirt and "jams" are what I used to wear when I was running my pedi-cab. My only excuse for the 70's aviator glasses is I couldn't afford new frames. I remember that I forgot to take the damn things off before jumping in the water (I was hung over) and they fell off. My friend Gavin and I
stayed in the ice cold water for quite a long time taking turns diving down to the bottom and feeling around for the damn things. Gavin eventually found them. Ever spent 10 minutes in 5 °C water without a wetsuit? I don't recommend it.
What I don't remember is what the hell I was thinking about making that freakishly goofy face.

OK, even good jobs have tough Mondays. Yes, it is Wednesday, but after the holidays today is more like the Monday of the year. I'm tired, having gotten into my natural stay-up-late/wake-up-late cycle. We had our Monday morning meeting today and I did a good job of nearly falling off my chair backwards through a 12th storey window when I relaxed into my chair a little too much and the backrest jumped back. *sigh* More coffee please.
