The Shriner's parade was rather dull actually. I walked around in my black
ritual robe and stuff and not much happened at all. Most of them ignored me
for the most part, they are so into themselves. I guess that's to be
expected. It was too hot for the Lizard mask but the they had these
DINOSAUR cars they made for the parade which the Shriners rode around in.
Hmmmm. I'm NOT going to say it - OK I will - "Just a coincidence I'm sure!"
LOL The POLICE had long stares to provide me with entertainment though,
which was nice. :) There was this ONE Shriner though..... He was in the
middle of the parade by the side where these higher level Shriners were all
gathered to watch the show from this platform. He was on the oposite side
with his wife and on some little chair which was slightly raised up for him.
He had this "air" about him - almost dignified Royalty. He looked right
at me and refused to look away, as did I. He gave me a very firm and
confident *NOD*, much like a military sargeant would, keeping his eyes on my
own. I responded with my own *nod* - then continued on my own - eventually
smirking slightly as I passed from view. Hmmmmm. Fascinating.
It was actually more interesting OFF the parade set (IE: The staged event)
when I was walking around Down Town on the way there... I was met with
Shriners of all types who stopped to look at me, and some of them leaned
into their friends as if to say, "Who's that?" or "Oh, look, Purple's here."
I had a few Shriners quickly look away from my eyes as I was trying to
look into theirs for some reason. It was odd. It was like they were
nervous about my looking at them for too long. Hmmmmm. Aagain I say,
"Fascinating".
Tomorrow is the next event - 7PM - this time it better be cool enough for my
Reptoid mask! I want to wear it this time and walk in the front of the
parade. I hope my pals can be there to take pix of me. :D
