The is the tunnel where Margaret Corbin Drive passes under itself in Ft. Tryon Park. The tunnel is old enough that limestone stalactites are forming.

This is the 190th St. station of the subway "A" line (as in "Take the A Train" by Duke Ellington) complete with sprouting ferns and a very active colony of little birds. You can see the nests and one of the birds in the grating.

Now this really is Gothic. This was taken at "The Cloisters", which is the Mediaeval annex of the Metropolitan Museum, located in Ft. Tryon Park. I took a lot of pictures in the museum which I will be sharing over the course of the next couple of days.

The Cloisters in Ft. Tryon Park, Manhattan was built in 1938. It is run by the Metropolitan Museum and is made up in part of bits of five different genuine Mediaeval French cloisters. This view is from the Early Gothic hall through to the Gothic Chapel. The window we are looking through is part of the new 1938 building, the sculpture in the chapel seen through the window, however, are genuinely Gothic.
