The Cloisters (1)

The Cloisters in Ft. Tryon Park, Manhattan was built in 1938. It is run by the Metropolitan Museum and is made up in part of bits of five different genuine Mediaeval French cloisters. This view is from the Early Gothic hall through to the Gothic Chapel. The window we are looking through is part of the new 1938 building, the sculpture in the chapel seen through the window, however, are genuinely Gothic.
