Flotsam

I have this strange addiction to watching one of those sites (there are lots of them) that reposts the last (n) pictures posted to LJ. Mostly what gets posted is crap - teenagers taking pictures of their new haircut in the mirror, Microsoft Paint stick-men, community banners, quiz results, etc. - but every so often something is hilarious or just plain brilliant. Lately there have been a lot of pictures of Hurricane Frances and protests in New York which seem to be the zeitgeist of LJ right now. It's the gems buried in the sand that keep me coming back. Here's some of the stuff that caught my eye:
