
You'd think that with the new camera, my old one wouldn't be that useful anymore. Not so! I made a slight
modification to it today and now it sees infra-red light:

A world with orange grass and red-leaved cherry trees... |

...where patio umbrellas glow in the dark and the trees are purple at night. |

For comparison's sake, this is the same exposure as above, in visible light only. |

Unfortunately I made a slight error during the disassembly and ripped the conductor ribbon attached to the arrow-pad buttons. For the time being I can't change the mode of the camera, turn on the flash, or browse the pictures I have taken. I've already e-mailed Olympus about a replacement part. Hopefully, since a large number of the cameras in the Olympus C-series used exactly the same form-factor the part shouldn't be too hard to get and not too expensive.
