By the count of images from the timelapse, I've been stabbing at this for about 45 hours. I've been trying something I've never done before that is weird enough that there aren't any examples out there to follow. And I've screwed up and essentially started over twice. The part that's been giving me the most trouble, her left cheek and jawline, are finally somewhere where I can leave that alone and sort out the "easier" details and get to the really fun stuff I have planned. It's funny how the pop culture ideas of emotional artists creating ad hoc from some higher plane of inspiration that cropped up in the 1870s and should have died in the 1970s continue to persist. 90% of this is absolutely preplanned with a very clear intention and the rest is just not knowing how to pull it off.
