I will need some pre-conversion work prior to taking orders.
Questions regarding such:
1. Hair color/style - Will the lack of Manic Panic Red or Blue hair preclude me from membership? Corporate America is very unforgiving about such things.
2. Clothing - Except for the poofy sleeved white poets shirt I got for a recent wedding and the black pants to accompany them I am clueless. My uniform (see user icon) is official and regulations do not allow me to wear it off the ship. Help?
3. Tattoos/Piercings - What is the required number of these two items? Can I set a reasonable goal and completion date?
4. Eternally Dark Mood - I can fake it if I have to. Life sometimes does not suck for me and I enjoy being happy. Is this okay?
The Central Mystery (a.k.a. raging logical inconsistency) of my Church, not unlike the Catholic Trinity, is "The Denial Affimation". By denying your gothiness, you become gothier.
BTW: I haven't dyed my hair for about a year, for the most part I wear coloured shirts with ties (It all in the details - e.g. you'll rarely catch me without pointy Fleuvogs on my feet. See http://www.waningmoon.com/corpgoth/fashion.html), I have *no* tattoos or peircings (when everyone around me started getting the one-ear-peirced thing around 1982 I thought it was exceedingly lame since I saw them as being about five years late on the uptake and vowed never to get anything peirced. I'm not opposed to tattoos, but I've yet to find anything that won't look stupid on me when I'm a septegenarian. I'm just not keen on making permanent changes to my body that may go out of fashion), and I smile a lot.
In the early days before Manic Panic and industrial-strength hair-sculpting proiducts the only way to get a 2' tall flaming red mohawk was Kool-Aid and white glue. Big poofy Robert Smith hair was accomplished with sugar-water. As you can see from the icon I used to have a problem with bees being attracted to my hair in the spring...
