nothing like purchasing sweat shop products made overseas to show your patriotism...funny thing is walt was a staunch anti-communist...he burned a few labour people in the '40s...i wonder if that would extend to communists making his products???
That depends if you consider what they have in China communism. I honestly think that the U.S.A. is a hell of a lot closer to what Marx had in mind than China is.
yeh very true...there isn't much communism in china...nor much capitalism in america...after all america is a corporate oligarchy....of course that group controls a great deal of the world...
Yes, and most of those corporations are publicly traded answerable to the stockholders and have stock plans or mutual-fund RRSPs for the employees... that always struck me as a lot closer to "the workers controlling the means of production" than state-run farms and factories in a one-party system.
Not an ideal implementation, to be sure, but a more practicable one than anything the "communist" states ever came up with.
and the irony of it is through all their personal stocks, stock options and pension plan funds they have a lot more power than they realize...yet they leave that power in the hands of the corporate elite...they really are close to having the power to decide their own fates...but will they ever wake up and realize it??? it's bound to happen as the rich keep increasing their distance from the poor...
the poetic justice of it is the same system they constructed to consolidate their power will be their eventual undoing... big man, pig man...ha ha...charade you are...
