I'm watching That 70's Show, the commercials come on, and Netzero is advertising, "Internet Access at a 70's Price." WTF is that? $10,000 for a 1200 baud modem and $30,000 for the 4 Mhz Hewlett-Packard micro-computer and punch card reader?
yeh i thought that was pretty funny too...i wonder if the speed and service is as good as it was in the '70s...what could you gain access to and what exactly would you be finding out there in internet land??? ha ha...

A wonderous world full of university and millitary scientists and researchers, not one byte of spam, and the worst you ever had to deal with was the annual wave of newbies posting from their university accounts each September. You'd have e-mail, newsgroups, IRC, and some MUDs and MOOs. If you had a .sig more than 3 lines long people would get on your ass about wasting bandwidth. All for you in glorious in 7-bit ASCII text.
yeh who would miss the advertising and spam out there...not to mention the hordes of useless information we are now presented with(like our daily lives ha ha)...
