OK, this is obnoxiously squishy. I've now spent the last three days being far too pleased by a tiny gesture. Elaine send me an on-line postcard.





It's not her artwork. It's just one of those stock images that you can fire off from a website. Nonetheless the sweet Romantigothicness (Now there's a word!) of it has left me smiling now for three days. I have a copy printed out at home, and a copy printed out at work. I keep looking at it and smiling. It's because is a tiny gestyure, a detail. Doing the "right" thing with big stuff is easy, it's the off-the-cuff little stuff that really matters. When the little stuff clicks something extraordinary is going on.

Yes, but they don't live in the same building as Nat, whereas I and the S&N Collective do.
