3236 Pictures Later

I just uploaded pictures of last night's Sanctuary in the gallery. I've been doing this now for three years and just when I think I have taken just about every possible picture of the inside of the Purple Onion, a few new ones jump out:

These are great ....

I am a little overwhelmed by the sheer ammount of pictures
on the server. It seems (no offense to you) to have quantity
over quality.

I would do a little spring cleaning if I were you.

Announce a date that you will remove 70% of the pctures
and let people dl wich ones they want - keep only the good
ones (kill all the ones of me - they're horrible)

and then from now on - enter a contest for posting pictures
ONLY THE BEST FOR MY BANWIDTH. max 2 pics /person /event

I am sure some of the bad ones can be photoshopped and re-submitted.

In the end this is just a personal photo archive that I decided to share and let other people add to - 50% of the photos are mine, 18% are Jim's, 12% are reposts from the Smoke Pit, 7% are from evilyn13, 2.3% are from uberbabe and 1.4% are from morbioid. Even as it stands I don't post just anything.

I toyed with the idea of having all but the very best pictures expire and disappear off the site and have the facility for that written into the database. Problem is, picking out what stays and what goes is work, and when pet projects become work rather than fun they die.

If just want a "best of" you'd probably be better off just sticking to my LJ and my portfolio on my website (http://www.mbarrick.net).
