After a year and a half here it's pretty clear that I'm going to stick with this job. I've got my expenses in line well enough that my salary pays my bills. My day job is enough work. When I get home I want to do something else, like, say, draw or paint. As crappy a job as it was the one thing I really liked about my time at the bank was my clients were non-existant (thus the need to take the crap job) and at the end of the day I was free to do what I wanted.

Date: 2003-04-09 05:12 pm (UTC)Do that mean you aren't going to work for free anymore
out of the goodness of your heart and effictively PAY
to keep your clients in business. Wha kind of a heartless
bastard are you? You see their boat...the moorage isn't free
you know. And that Corvet... well SOMEBODY has to pay for the wax and the naked chick to give him hand jobs.
.... that all costs money Michael .. and if you aren't willing to
contribute your fair share to keep the business going he has driven into the ground ... well then you're just not a team player mister!
(maybe he JUST figured out the Dot-com bubble burst)
You know thats the problem with the economy .. there
is such competition out there. And since there are so
many LIARs who drive the value of service down to compete
- no-one can afford to make anymoney off anything becuse the general public expects it all to be free. Would you PAY
for dialup service anymore? How about web content?
The dot-com boom turned us into a top-heavy society of
freeloaders
