Was it larger or smaller than you expected it to be? I was there in June of 2002 and found it to be quite a bit larger... in fact, gigantic.
Also, do parts of Manhattan remind you of downtown Vancouver at all? I had déja vu moments of being on Seymour Street when I was wandering around NY last year. Heh...
Neither. I was here October, 2001 (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=mbarrick&itemid=132857) and saw the site when it was still smoking. So was surprised instead by how much work has already been done.
