OK, I turn 36 in a week. Here's the plan. On the actual day-of
the best girlfriend ever is going to take me out to dinner and we'll probably hit Rebel-Rebel afterwords. The "official" birthday fĂȘte will be Saturday, August the 9th, bundled with our pre-Sin party, followed of course by Sin City since I am the
poster boy for August (BTW, I'll be restoring the Sin City pictures that Saturday).
And, not that I expect anything, but because
Elaine wanted me to, here are my Amazon wishlists:

Date: 2003-07-25 01:42 pm (UTC)When Virgin opened it had a great sellection of counterculture books , neat knick nacks ..and whatnot.... But when they got
taken over by the right wing family fundimental .. their
interesting inventory went to pot - more mainstraem conformist.
Granville books was the last hope .. but their art/culture books are a little sporatic.
That is where Amazon kicked in .. I was able to buy a books (used) that I had been looking for for a few years but I couldn't find a retailer for it (the Book HOW TO MUTATE AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD by the freshly Deceased St JUDE) and I discovered a whole new world of books I had not seen before that were not avaliable in Canada and I had never seen at local stores.
I eventually stopped online buying regularly as I did miss shopping/hunting and the male perogative to return to the tribe(home) with a kill(package in my hand) and I found that the Shipping costs were killer (I think that is how Amazon makes
its money -give shit at cost, overcharge for shipping)
I am a little pissed that .ca and .com don't share inventory (example NAQOYQATSI DVD)
What I usually do is shop at Amazon.com .. wich pretty well lists
what is avaliable .. and then if I need - purchase locally....
Although my largest use for Amazon.com has been to copy the pictures from the website to print the labels for some of the
more interesting stuff I got from Kaaza.... I call that my
sneaky little bastard policy.
