That's the thing though. If you are almighty your powers are infinite - infinity less any amount is still infinite. No amount of effort should impact His enegry-level in the least. If an effort, no matter how large, was to cause a significant enough drain as to necessitate resting then that necessarily implies that there is a finite limit to His powers.
AHHH, I feel like I am back in my second yr philosopy of metaphysics class! The problem is, is that no matter which way you swing it, this argument is cyclical. Try arguing this case with a christian. Ahhh, we had some fun times with that one!!! Hee hee.
By its very nature you can't argue with it. All someone with "faith" has to do to knock the crap out of any sensible argument is spout off something like "God works in mysterious ways" or "Who are we to question God?" or some such other platitude.
What's interesting in how people keep faith regardless of any questions or reason. A few years ago I read about some research that determined that there are parts of the human brain that are effectively hard-wired (in some people moreso than others) for heirarchical authority. Not at all surprising in a social animal, really. Faith, it seems, is a result of that mechanism. Of course even that doesn't prove anything because there's no prooving that this "built-in" need that most people have for an authority to follow is not in fact "placed" there by God.
Hmmm,
