Good long weekend, bad "Monday" morning.

I had a blast this weekend with Elisabeth and Drew visiting. Sin City was pretty good even though the photo area was next to impossible to work with. Bowling on Sunday for Nick's "stag" was a blast. Then Sanctuary, which was hopping as usual for a long weekend. Monday we took Elisabeth and Drew up to the lookout on Cypress and the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge (which was a bit weird - it was the first time back in that part of North Vancouver since I moved) and then a White Spot turkey dinner followed by the Ghost Train in Stanley Park.

Then along came this morning in all its first-day-back-at-work-after-a-long-weekend-ness. Having rushed home Friday upon seeing _jazz_ sneaking out on to the freshly painted balcony I didn't put things in their proper place. This morning I couldn't find my key-card for work. At the moment I don't have a clue where I might have put it. It didn't help that I was tired from not sleeping well. I couldn't get comfortable because of stiff muscles in my arm and back from bowling and my neck from I-don't-know-what, and the boiler was being psychotic. Even with the radiator valve shut off in the bedroom the amount of heat coming off the pipe was insane and I eventually had to put the fan in the window to pull cold air in. But then at some point in the wee hours the boiler must have quit and it went from way too hot to rather chilly. Its hard to sleep when the temperature is varying 15 °C from one hour to the next.

Because she was just as sleepy Elaine forgot to leave her apartment keys for Elisabeth and Drew which led to a logistical problem this morning, which wasn't too hard to work out, but nonetheless compounded the general bad-key-day-ness of the morning in conjunction with not being able to find my key-card.

On the silly side of things _jazz_ and tharsis now have Livejournals of their own.

too funny...i was going to give fatty a friendster page, and then maybe a livejournal page...now i'd just look like a copycat...he who hesitates is forever a follower...

What's wrong with being a copy-cat? It suits me fine. Except when I follow _jazz_ on to wet paint.

well you've got a point there tharsis...i mean it's not like you are the only cool cat with a livejournal page...we'll see if fatty is up to it...that requires effort and it would cut into his lounging time...then i'm sure squirrelly would want one too...though she doesn't often have much to say...
